public class JNLPAppletApplication
extends AppletApplication

A demo applet/application that demonstrates the use of the AppletApplication class to create applet that is also an application. This class derives from AppletApplication to implement its abstract methods. It uses the JNLP Applet API to get the specified background from parameters passed to the applet from the web page. (It does not set the font or background when run as an application.)

Constructor Detail

JNLPAppletApplication

public JNLPAppletApplication()
Method Detail

getWindowTitle

protected java.lang.String getWindowTitle()
Returns 'JNLP Applet' as the title of the window.

Specified by:
getWindowTitle in class AppletApplication
Returns:
The window title.
See Also:
AppletApplication.getWindowTitle()

createGUI

protected void createGUI(java.awt.Container container)
Creates a UI with a string of text. This method implents the abstract method in the base class to create the user interface of the applet application. In this case it simply creates a text label with the string 'A simple JNLP Java Applet'. The font size is set according to the value of the applet/jnlp parameter 'fontSize'. The background color is set according to the value of the applet/jnlp parameter 'background'.

Specified by:
createGUI in class AppletApplication
Parameters:
container - The UI container
See Also:
AppletApplication.createGUI(java.awt.Container)

main

public static void main(java.lang.String[] args)
Creates an instance of this class and runs it as an application. The application is run by calling startGUI.

Parameters:
args - Arguments to the application. These are ignored.
